This campground is Pack In Pack Out. There are no rubbish or recycling facilities for compost or food waste. A container with a sealed lid is recommended for your food scraps.

Fletcher Bay

Number of tent/non-powered - 60. Maximum number of people - 300.  Sites are selected by campers on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is a beach front campsite in a farm setting. Walk along the Coromandel Walkway to Stony Bay; an ideal location for water sports including swimming, boating, diving and fishing.

DESCRIPTION:

This resort has a spectacular beachfront location, with island-studded ocean views and the famous pink and white sands of Hahei beach. An easy walk to Cathedral Cove and marine park. The resort_s mature and well-wooded grounds have 300 sites, around half with power. The hill-top, beachfront campervan sites have incomparable views and come with their own picnic tables and clotheslines. In the camper_s kitchen are fridges, microwave and hob cooking. There is a resort store on site and a village shopping centre close by. Three well-cleaned blocks of ablutions have roomy, timed showers, and baths (including a baby_s bath). There is a central covered laundry area, and it has a free air pump for airbed inflation! The breezeway area has clotheslines and opens to a drying room. In another building is a comfy TV room. After a successful day_s fishing, use the fish-cleaning facilities, BBQs and outdoor shellfish boilers. Paid wireless internet is available. Pure drinking water is supplied from a natural on-site source and dump stations are provided. For pricing, please contact the camp.

DESCRIPTION:

The family park is a short walk to the centre of Whitianga. It offers large
level sites some some hedged for privacy and beautiful trees, giving plenty of
shade. There is ample room for cars and boats. Recreational facilities include
an outdoor swimming pool, children's playground, TV room, BBQ’s and some
picnic tables on wheels to take to your site. The indoor area has tables and
chairs and some USB ports and internet kiosks. The camp has a wireless hot
spot. There is a fsh cleaning area, car and boat wash and a dump point on site.
The well kept ablutions include a baby’s bath in the Ladies facilities. Showers
are no charge. The kitchen, with stainless steel benches, has fridge freezers,
hotplates, toasters, microwaves and a water flter. There is a central table for
food preparation. The laundry has all new equipment with coin operated
Maytag washing machines and dryers. There is an ironing board and iron set
up for campers. Sites are from $19.50 per person. Seasonal rates apply

DESCRIPTION:

Nestled into native bush, with brand new modern facilities providing free showers, with wheelchair access, a large spacious kitchen with gas hobs, ovens, fridges, microwaves, toasters and hot water on tap. There is a coin operated laundry with dryers and washing machines. A TV room with Freeview, and internet kiosk with wireless is available for a small fee. The ablution and kitchen areas are adjoined to a spacious inner courtyard. Here a large screen TV offers Sky, Sport, a Cartoon Network, UKTV and a variety of other channels for your enjoyment. The park is being added to almost continuously, 6 showers have been added this summer. You can fish, kayak, swim, surf, dive, set off on a day trip to Cathedral Cove and back, maybe dig your own hot pool, or enjoy the local cafes. Your hosts are Sheree and Grant. The hot pools are only accessible two hours each side of low tide. Don’t forget to take a spade.

DESCRIPTION:

A little under half-way between Whitianga and Coromandel, this pleasant park
is now run by the resident shareholders. Casual campers are welcome. A
stunning white sandy beach is across the road, with a camp-side stream and
a handy boat ramp. Check-in at the large, well-stocked shop that is open all
year round, although its hours can vary. Try the fast-food service with onsite
delivery available on Friday and Saturday nights. The camping area is dotted
with shady trees and is nicely groomed. The amenities block is squeaky clean
with roomy, metered showers, and toilets that provide for disabled access. The
laundry is well equipped and there is a bait shed. The kitchen has stainless
steel benches, hobs, microwave cooking and fridge/freezers. It opens to an
attractive gazebo that houses BBQs and offers a shaded dining space. For
boaties, the paved car and boat washing area alongside a fish cleaning bench
will be well used. There is a dump station, internet kiosks, an outdoor shower
enclosure and flourishing gardens. Pets allowed except high season and public

from $16 per person, $18 for a powered site, children $8. Seasonal rates

DESCRIPTION:

This very popular camp commands a prime position on the beach front.
Follow the signs to Long Bay from the main T-intersection in the middle of
Coromandel township. Discover why this spot is such a great place for fishing!
The camp has two distinct waterfront areas, Long Bay and Tucks Bay. Tucks
Bay has long-drop toilets and no power, but is quietly appealing. The Long
Bay site has bright, clean amenities. The roomy metered showers are tiled
and there appears to be ample modern toilet facilities. The compact kitchen
has two stoves, microwave and TV. A gas BBQ in a roofed shelter offers
a pleasant dining alternative. An automatic laundry and dump station are
provided. Ideally suited for the boatie, fish-cleaning and smoking facilities are
on hand. At the camp entrance, the on-site shop has basic supplies including
expresso coffee, ice creams, bait and ice and a public phone. The camp has
100 sites, 50 with power and most with spectacular views across the bay. Your
hosts, Leanne and Des, can rent you a kayak or paddleboard. Wifi is available
and all sites are from $15 to $ 25 per adult. Seasonal rates apply
