A little Backpacker Oasis in the heart of Queenstown!

Everything at our Backpacker Lodge has been designed with the discerning traveller in mind, from
the flat-screen TV's in the common areas and private rooms, to the custom designed wooden bunks
with privacy curtains. Our private rooms have hotel standard beds & fluffy pillows. Our lounge has an
extensive DVD library & our two kitchens have free herbs, spices, tea and coffee. We also provide

DESCRIPTION:

There are not many camps with a Morris Minor graveyard at the centre! A
quirky camp in a peaceful setting, overlooking Lake Manapouri. There are
plenty of sheltered, private camp sites amongst the trees on which to pitch your tent or park your van, the sites in front have fabulous lake and mountain views. A homely central kitchen and dining area is well lit with big windows and a skylight, and there are a handy collection of utensils, pots and pans. The laundry has coin operated washers and clothes dryers, an ironing board and iron. The games room is full of pin ball machines and other electronic games are available for your entertainment. There is a classic old style childrens’ playground, and bookings for Fiordland trips and cruises can be made at the office. The camp is a departure point for Doubtful Sound cruises and there is a free pick up from the doorstep. Your lovely host is Joelle Nicholson, assisted by her two sons. Unpowered sites from $18 per adult, power sites $38 for two people.

Kingston Holiday Park, 16 Kent Street, Kingston, Southern Lakes, South Island

DESCRIPTION:

Near the southern tip of Lake Wakatipu, this holiday park is full of mature trees and has a bubbly stream running through it. An ideal stopover between Queenstown/Wanaka and Milford Sound many of the sites have hard pads, and the tent sites are on well drained land. There is a small kitchen with ceramic cook-tops and a small dining room attached. You will find a TV, free videos, books and games in the TV room, and there is a separate room for internet. The ablutions have free showers and heating, there is a laundry and a guest BBQ. The park next door has tennis courts, and there is a café, local pub, and fish and chip shop within strolling distance. If you have any energy left, borrow the complimentary set of golf clubs and try the 9-hole golf course, or hire a bike. You can fish in the lake and there are several tracks nearby, including the round the mountain track which ends/starts in Kingston.
