It's not a huge amount of ground, but there are two power points and room for tents, there is also a small kitchen with a microwave and fridges. Laundry facilities are available on request, and there are good toilets and showers here. Take advantage of the full restaurant,or stop in and have a beer at the bar with your friendly host Keith Fenwick.

This is a large country camp with plentiful facilities, including those for disabled people. There are a lot of permanents in this park, but it is done very well. An immaculate kitchen has a microwave, rangettes and fridge/freezer. The laundry includes a children’s bath and use of an iron. The ablution blocks are very spacious with lots of good showers. A smaller kitchen and a laundry have been added to help in the busy season. A separate TV/dining room has double doors opening to the garden, where there is a children’s play area. Much hard work has been put into landscaping the grounds, which are colourful and well kept. Play golf on the 10-hole par 3 golf course, and eftpos is available. Please and make sure you book in advance as there are limited sites.
Large vehicles can enjoy this holiday park set on well kept, level lawns. With
the permanent campers to one side of the camp, casual campers have a choice of two amenities blocks. One block is situated in the old Christian camp
building, and includes a large common room, a well equipped kitchen, ablutions
that contain disabled facilities, and a laundry. This block is old but clean and
tidy. The second amenities block was in the process of being upgraded when
we went through, the modern block will house toilets, showers and another
well equipped kitchen. There is space to spread out and enjoy the peace and
quiet of the country, a river close by, and pets are welcome by arrangement.
Your host is Robert McAlister. Powered sites are $28 and tent sites $25 for
two adults.
Opposite the racecourse, the park entrance leads to level ground, with a
variety of pleasant sites scattered between the permanent campers. A tiled
conservatory is the focal point of the amenities block, with a large TV and
couches. To each side are the large kitchen and ablutions, all in good, clean
condition. There are automatic washing machines and dryers, and a dump
station is also available, some even on sites. Next to the playground is an in
ground swimming pool and a children’s splash pool. Families, sports teams and
groups are well catered for, and your hosts are Allan and Raewyn Campbell.
There are at least 20 sites with power at $30 for two adults and plenty of tent
or unpowered sites for $30 for 2 adults; $18 for 1 adult.

One of Canterbury's best kept secrets. Nestled into the base of the Rakaia Gorge and located on the South Side of the Rakaia Gorge Bridges on the Inland Scenic Route. This camp has a new ablution block with toilets, hot showers and disability facilities. Instead of a kitchen there is a kitchen shelter where you bring your own cookers and equipment. (BBQ available for a small fee) A laundry tub is on-site. A free book exchange operates from the kitchen. There are plenty of picnic tables and BBQ areas, some overlooking the river. The area is beautifully kept and very sheltered with an abundance of trees. Sites are $10pp and to encourage family groups, children under 12 are free.
