This self-registration campsite is located near the Clutha River, a few kilometres
from Wanaka. It is popular with summer holidaymakers and strategically placed for
day trips to Mount Aspiring National Park (via Matukituki Valley or Makarora) and
the Queenstown/Arrowtown region. Toilets, taps, rubbish bins and picnic tables
are provided. Price per adult is $7, 15 and under $3.50, children under 5 are free.

DESCRIPTION:

Having been completely redeveloped in the last few years, this camp has pristine and modern amenities throughout. There are numerous tent and power sites, some with hard stands, and with many large shade trees. The modern ablutions have a disability/family suite and are spotless, while the large modern kitchen/dining has all amenities and opens to a covered outside BBQ area with coin operated BBQs. There is a well-equipped children_s playground on the edge of a large field where you can practice your rugby kicks, or play a game or cricket. Arrowtown is an historical gold mining town with many activities in the area, and the towering mountains around you are awe inspiring. Your hosts are Lindsay and Vicki Robertson. All sites are from $20 for one adult, $38 for two, extra adults at $15 each, and children $10.

DESCRIPTION:

This holiday park with its lovely mountain views and glorious sunsets has
approximately 40 sites amongst tree-lined and sheltered hedges. The
facilities are modern and sparkling, and one of the ablution blocks is ‘5 star’
style, with underfloor heating and other luxurious extra. There is a spa
, sauna, fitness centre and playground here.  A courtesy vintage car pickup
may be available from local restaurants and you can book at the office
for local trips and attractions. The Upukerora River is 250 metres away
where you can go swimming, fishing and kayaking, pets are welcome by arrangement
so please call first. Your friendly hosts are the Saunders
family. Unpowered sites are from $18 per person, and $20 for powered.

Frankton Motor Camp is a lovely lakefront camp has sites on various levels, which are well planned and shaded by mature trees. The large open plan kitchen/dining/ lounge area has indoor/outdoor eating on a massive timber deck. Good ablution blocks include a disability unit. The laundry has good automatic equipment. Use the TV room, or enjoy a meal at the nearby hotel. There is a card phone. Your hosts are Graeme and Tracey O_Rourke. Powered sites are from $22 for 1 adult and $12 for children a night and $18 per adult and $12 per child for a non-powered site

DESCRIPTION:

Very addictive camping with all the extras, including 24-hour internet hotspot, and an attractive, tropically bambooed fresh water hot tub and sauna area. In a pristine setting, the well-groomed sites are dotted with trees and this is the only campground in the centre of town but on the edge of the lake. Spacious well designed kitchens open to a bricked patio that invites alfresco dining, or use the brand new BBQ. A TV lounge with Sky offers comfort in a relaxed atmosphere, there is also a games room. The smart ablutions have under floor heating, disability and family bathroom facilities, segregated and unisex facilities are available. The laundry has excellent automatic machines, ironing equipment and a vacuum cleaner. Children will enjoy travelling on the good ship _Mountain View_ which will keep them safely at anchor while the parents sit under the _rustic_ gazebo for a chat, or they may like to play on the new jumping pillow. Free wireless internet Is provided and you can hire mountain bikes here. The sites include 80 with power and some especially for winter parking. Bryan and Georgia McChlery and their staff will look after you. Sites for two people are from $20, children under 14 years are from $10 each.

DESCRIPTION:

A full holiday experience, this property stretches along 1500 metres of tranquil lakefront with the Southern Alps rising steeply in the background. The beauty is ageless and the 100% pure water is a bonus. With a boat ramp available, the petrol pump in camp is handy, and a shop that is open during the season is a bonus too. The children have a great playground, as well as acres of room to run around, and plenty of water to swim in. The ablutions are sturdy but clean and tidy, with metered showers, and there is a good range of laundry equipment as well as plenty of outdoor taps and a dump point. Of the two kitchens one has a big logburner with a sociable number of tables and chairs, and the large, covered outdoor BBQ area is a great success. Level camping offers 150 power sites and a multitude of tents, most with lake views. Pets are welcome in the off-season by arrangement. Tent and power sites $16 per person. Children aged 4 to14 years are $7, children under 4years are free.
