Drive along an attractive tree lined approach to this spacious, well kept seaside park. Golden Bay Kiwi Holiday Park office has basic supplies and Eftpos. Plenty of space and shelter for campervans and tents that is grassed and separated from the sea by shady trees. The large service block is close to the beach. A few steps down from the kitchen area is the dining room with TV. The laundry (with automatic machines) adjoins the roomy ablutions and disability suite. Internet access is available. There are 100 tent sites and 75 power sites. The park has an outdoor shower for swimmers and a children_s play area. Dogs by arrangement only please and not 1 December to 1 March. This is a walk-in campsite on the Heaphy Track. It's nestled against beech forest on a limestone outcrop. Explore the numerous caves, nooks and crannies in the area.

Behind the busy shop and motel complex is a small area with 26 hard stands
all surrounded by plantings. All sites have power, but there are limited grassed
areas for camping available. The service block has tidy lined showers and toilets
and a laundry with auto washers and dryers. The kitchen area has been taken
over somewhat by the permanents, but is clean and has good cooking facilities
with a full stove. From here you can take a wine trail or visit Rabbit Island with
its beautiful sandy unspoiled beach. Your hosts are Amber and Chris. Tent sites
$10 per person, powered sites $20 per person (includes car), and $15 for each
extra person. Children are $10, under three are free.
Just off the main highway you will find this tiny but busy camp. You can forget
the frills; this is macho camping for rock climbers, although canoeists and
cyclists will be welcome. It boasts one hot shower, toilets, fridges and a rainy
day shelter. A storage room is available for your gear. Your hosts are the Butler
family. Funky company and tent sites are offered at $10 per person.

A small camp is nestled amongst trees, each spot is spacious in its own little posse, and has a small gas barbecue and outdoor furniture on each site. James Mackay Campsite
This is a walk-in campsite on the Heaphy Track.
In a picture-postcard sheltered bay is this mega-camping with 438 power sites. The village-type layout offers many extras including a well-stocked On The Spot Express store with wine sales, as well as the nearby takeaway or restaurant meals, and a post box, while the petrol pump is close by. The services include ablution blocks that are all tiled and clean and fully equipped kitchens and several laundries, while near the covered outside BBQs is a good recycling area. If you tire of the golden sands, you can play mini golf or try the mountain bike park. This is camping where a family environment is encouraged and your host is Den Petch. Eftpos available here. Prices range from $21 per night.
There are five flat tent sites nestled high on the ridge surrounded by bush and
birdsong. Laze around in one of the hammocks, take a bush walk, or use the
free wifi. The communal area is spotless and includes a pretty outdoor BBQ
area, while the kitchen is fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils and
filtered spring water. Other facilities include a coin operated washing machine.

All campsites on the Heaphy Track have water from a tap and toilets that are supplied with toilet paper. Katipo Creek Shelter campsite has a long drop toilet and also sinks.
Campers are not permitted to use hut facilities.
Hut wardens move between nearby huts in the summer. As well as checking campsite bookings, they are able to provide information about the track and weather to campers.
Bookings are required all year round.
