Danseys Pass Holiday Camp

Address:
Livingston Road, Danseys Pass Road 12 C.R.D Oamaru 9491, Otago, South Island

DESCRIPTION:

For a golden holiday, or as a base to travel the Vanished World Trail, you can't go far wrong with this beautiful woodland camp. Snuggled into a valley under the surrounding hills, the camp is set out on two tiers. On the lower level are some gorgeous riverside sites, and the grounds are well groomed and neatly edged with pine trees. Children are well catered for here, with basketball hoop, playground, and a flying fox, as well as a river swing; inside there is table tennis or indoor hockey. The kitchen is well equipped, with an adjacent dining hall, and the toilet and shower facilities are all modern and clean, with huge shower cubicles. A carpeted and comfy TV room will be welcome on wet days; however when it is fine there is a choice of two swimming holes. An alternative is gold panning (almost at your tent site) or fly fishing, tramping, mountain biking or fossil hunting. Dogs are allowed with prior permission only, and your hosts are Scott and Margie Brown and family. Power sites $19 per person, tent sites $17 per person, including free use of laundry equipment, children $10.
