Review Summary:

Riverton Holiday Park offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for travelers seeking a relaxing getaway. Guests on platforms like TripAdvisor and Google Reviews commend its lush surroundings and close proximity to the beach. Many appreciate the clean and well-maintained facilities, including the kitchen and communal areas. However, a few reviews mention that the Wi-Fi could be improved, as the connection tends to be spotty.

Overall, the park provides a charming base for exploring nearby attractions, with friendly staff that enhance the experience. While not without minor drawbacks, Riverton Holiday Park delivers good value and a pleasant environment for visitors.
Address:
Riverton Holiday Park and Camping Ground, 43 Richard St, Riverton, New Zealand, Southland, South Island

DESCRIPTION:

The grounds of this spot have been beautifully landscaped and the camp has a panoramic view over the sea. Based in an old hall, the lounge is a huge area that includes a stage, a ping pong table, puzzles, and large comfy sofas pulled up around the huge stone fireplace. There is also a TV and piano, as well as a separate library with many books to borrow. The kitchen has served many people in its lifetime, but is immaculate and quirky with Its old wood walls and retro dining chairs and tables. The toilets and showers are plentiful and recently painted, as is the laundry which has automated washing machines and dryers. The whole place is spotlessly clean and welcoming and is a great stopover on the Te Araroa walking track. Your hosts are Craig and Veronica Wylie, and there are 18 sites available for vans and tents. Prices are $20 for one person and $30 for two, extra adults are $15 and children aged five to12 years are $5, while children under five years are free.
