DESCRIPTION:

This must be the most family friendly camp ground in the South Island, it looks like an amazing place to stay. Large sites on flat land with mature trees - some have gorgeous wooden swinging seats hanging from them for parents to sit and keep an eye on the children enjoying themselves in the adventure playground. The huge area has defined camping areas with a couple of central amenity blocks, one of which is brand spanking new. The first block has a clean, tidy kitchen with all amenities, laundry, toilet and shower block (with wheelchair access) and a phone. The second (new) block has toilets, showers and an outdoor kitchen dishwashing area.

There are lots of amazing outdoor activities for children is their specialty, with too many to list... although we will give it a go! There is a safe river with swimming holes, a skate park, waterslide and a confidence course with a flying fox to name just a few attractions. The children's summer programme includes go-carts and mini bikes (bring your own), orienteering, and an on-site shop sells basics.

This camp has been created by the Quinney family with a Christian emphasis and caters for large groups. Your hosts are Mark and Marama Quinney. The well sheltered camp sites cost $18 per adult, $10 for children, plus an $10 extra for power.
