DESCRIPTION:
About 6 km south of Waiouru, turn west off SHwy 1 towards Rangiwaea
Junction. About 20 minutes drive along this road you’ll fnd the established
gardens at Wakarua Farm. Visit here in the spring for the beauty of the
gardens, but don’t expect a full-on holiday camp. Limited provision has been
made for mobile homes with 5 powered sites (tents are also welcome). There
is a toilet and shower attached to the farmhouse but no kitchen facilities. For
further information, contact the owner Cynthia Collier. All sites $7 per person.
