Just 8 km south of Whitianga, turn off the State Highway and drive 3.5 km of easy gravel road to this rustic country holiday and animal park. Watch for the signs and enter at the cafe and office. Camp in a peaceful rural setting, with bird calls and bush surrounds. Hook up to one of the 15 powered sites on a large, all-weather hard stand area, bordered by a small stream and beautiful landscaping. Across a little bridge, through the trees, you'll find three large unisex bathroom suites (toilets and free showers) one with disabled access. An outdoor sheltered BBQ area is in the grounds or make use of the kitchen There is a washing machine and tub in the porch of the spacious ablution block and a dump station provided. Campers enjoy free access to the many friendly birds and animals in the park facility - a real hit with the kids. Pony rides are available. There are train rides, walk in aviary, kids playground with fort and a new 6 hole mini mini putt.
