Whangapoua Rd is just before Coromandel town, coming from Kuaotunu. Look for the green 'Tui Lodge' entrance sign. Campers wanting a pleasant rural stopover can camp in and around the complex's leafy gardens and orchards with free fruit in season and make use of the plentiful facilities in the backpacker's lodge. There are spotless unisex bathrooms, 2 kitchens with gas hobs and lots of appliances, a free BBQ and a summerhouse that's great for chilling out in. There is a free laundry, and free bikes.
