DESCRIPTION:

On the scenic coastal highway some 26km south of Westport is this lovely camp surrounded by native bush. There are 15 power sites (most on gravel) and around 100 tent sites, all on level ground with trees and punga for shade. Reasonably close to both sea and river fishing, you can also go gold mining tours, underwater cave rafting and a cafe just down the road. The kitchen is a bright and airy space that comes fully equipped, alongside it is another room with seating and TV. The ablutions have all been recently updated, they include a beautiful wooden vanity unit and are tastefully decorated. The laundry has washing machines and dryers, and is newly painted, and wireless internet is available. A new addition is a children's playground, and pets are permitted by arrangement. Your hosts are Graeme and Lana. Tent sites are $15 per person, power sites are $17 per person. Children under 12 years are half price, and under 5 years are $2.50.
