This spacious camp has a ribbon of sites along the beach front and is well endowed with trees. It is 7km south of Kaikoura with a great shop on-site. The amenities are in three blocks, all in good order including ablutions, laundries, and kitchens in two of the blocks. Fillet your fish in the two areas provided, cook them on the gas BBQ, then eat them in the outside covered dining area. This is an ideal base for diving and fishing, also good for whale, seal and coastal bird watching and in February and March you can see the dolphins playing in the bay. Fishing rods are available for hire, there_s also a boat and car wash. A family orientated camp with a play area leading to a flying fox is close to the beach, near the entrance is a mini golf course, and beach volleyball is available. There are over 100 power sites and twice as many for tents, a beachfront area has 29 power points, all hard stands, picnic tables and there are also tent sites. Wireless internet access is available and a dump point. No dogs between December 22nd and January 10th please. Your friendly hosts are Digby and Eve.
