Capital Gateway Motor Inn, as the name suggests, an inner city haven against the vagaries of the Wellington wind and unpredictability of Interisland Ferry sailings. Situated at the entrance to the suburb of Newlands, 7 minutes from the central city. Tucked in the corner at the rear the motel are the 27 all weather campervan-sites. With a bush backdrop and extensive grassed area with picnic tables. The amenities block houses a small modern kitchen with 2 islands of hot plates and a microwave; a TV/dining room; and bathrooms with two showers (disabled access) and two toilets each. If you don_t feel like cooking, pay a visit to the licensed restaurant/bar on-site, or (park your van over) and treat yourself to a night at the Inn. A dump station provided.(There are no tent sites available).
