Here is a special little camp with welcoming, helpful hosts. Set in 20 acres of land, the _business area_ occupies an elevated platform overlooking the Kaipara harbour on both sides. A track leads you down to the beach. The sites are gently terraced with each level offering private nooks surrounded by trees, and each has its own picnic table. There are 30 neat sites (some with individual lights). First class amenities are set in a colonial style building. The kitchen/lounge and dining area are lavishly equipped and stylish with a comfortable TV area. Free gas BBQ_s are available. An on-site store provides basics. Wireless and broadband internet are available. You can enjoy a game of Petanque, while, for the children, there is an adventure play area. A very comfortable stay while you enjoy water views over the Kaipara. Visit the Matakohe Kauri Museum at the entrance and dine at the hotel next door. Your hosts are Vanessa and Francis.
