Raglan Holiday Park Papahua
DESCRIPTION:
A large seaside camp about 50 km west of Hamilton, beside the Raglan airfield and
surrounded on three sides by the harbour. Handily located, a short walk across the footbridge at the end of the camp takes you to the Raglan shops. Across the road from the camp is a sheltered inlet beach, great for the kids to muck about in. The 100 tent sites and 210 powered sites are all on level, open grounds with a few perimeter trees. A huge kitchen provides ample sinks, generous gas cooking units, a microwave, plus fridges and a freezer and, for the caffeine-fiends, a coffee vending machine. It opens out to a pleasant outdoor/indoor BBQ/dining area.
Relax in the central family TV/games room with comfy chairs, or stay in touch with friends and family using the internet room with kiosks and wireless hotspot. In the summertime, an open-air stage can be used for camp entertainment and there is a trampoline, a jumping pillow and a new kid’s playground. For the fisherfolk in the family, a fish cleaning area is provided. Three ablution blocks have all the washroom extras, roomy metered showers and plenty of toilets. The new block includes a family/disabled access suite. An automatic laundry and dump point are provided. Powered sites are from $24 per adult, with a $9 per child (3 to 4 years). Tent sites $17, $8.50 per child. Bookings are essential in peak times.
