With the Dunes section of the Motu Trails right in front of the camp you can either choose to relax or go for a safe walk, jog or cycle and explore the coastline. Visit the Opotiki township where supplies and a good coffee are only a few minutes away. Alternatively, for the necessities and fresh fish and chips the Tirohanga Beach Store is right next door!

We are also a pet friendly camp all year round. To accommodate pets, we have a designated area and its own beach access.

337 Pukehina Beach Road, Pukehina, Bay of Plenty, East Cape, North Island

DESCRIPTION:

A camp with a rustic atmosphere, it is set back from the beach in a rural location. The grounds are sheltered by mature trees and dotted with potted colour enhanced by the gardens and ‘creative’ touches of the many permanent ‘weekenders’ in residence. The colour scheme in the abulution is to say the least—challenging. There is a BBQ area. The limited kitchen has a stove, hobs, microwave and fridge/freezer. The two wornout ablution blocks are basic and the showers are free. There is an automatic laundry but no eftpos here.
