Here is a lovely environment for the comfort of campers with grounds that have smooth lawns and a myriad of mature trees. There are 180 sites, most with power, and an amenity block gives the camp some great facilities, all in spotlessorder. The kitchen with all facilities opens to a covered BBQ area with seating where you can watch the children on the jumping pillow. There is a TV lounge with internet and excellent tiled ablutions plus an automatic laundry. A spa pool is available and a heated swimming pool and sun lounging area is close to the adventure playground. A dump point is provided and storage is available for vehicles and luggage. This camp is close to the shopping and services of Motueka. Pets are welcome by arrangement excluding December, January and early February. If your priorities are comfort, easy parking and squeaky-clean facilities, you will find them here. the closest camping ground to the city, the sites are in private bays with gravel, and taps are plentiful. Each van spot has a small lawn and are separated by beautiful trees that overhand the sites. The small grassed area for tents is well landscaped, but book ahead if you have a large tent. A good kitchen has all appliances with an adjacent outside dining area and BBQ. A card phone, comfortable TV room with Sky and internet area are here for your enjoyment. The excellent ablutions have good free showers and a complete disability/family suite is also available. The laundry has plenty of equipment including auto washers, dryers and iron. Enjoy the adventure playground for the children and a dump station is available. Your hosts are Peter, Benju and Jim and all sites are from $40 for two people.
Located 8km north of Murchison, this beautifully landscaped camp borders
the Buller river. All hard stands with good sized sites for buses and a level
grassed camping area for tents down by the river where you will not be
crowded. A modern central facilities block has a wraparound veranda for
outside seating, and includes a kitchen and dining area with TV, hob, microwave
cooking, all utensils and cutlery. The ablutions have good showers and toilets
with a disability/family suite and a laundry with auto machines. All amenities
are modern, clean and tidy, there are BBQs here and a dump point too for
quests only. Enjoy a dip in the river or try your hand at fishing, rafting, kayaking
or explore the bike trails and walking tracks in the area. Relax and have a
game of petanque or pavement draughts, there is also a chip and putt course,
volleyball, and croquet available. Your host is Karen Steadman, who also
provides seasonal veges and free range eggs from the office.

This camp will accommodate around 50 people in an area which is popular
with mountain bikers, trampers and cavers. It is also the main access-way to
the 176 metre marble shaft known as Harwood’s Hole. “Canaan Downs” is
central to some of the South Island’s most popular holiday spots including
the Abel Tasman Kahurangi National Park and Golden Bay and is well worth
a stopover for anyone just wanting a lovely spot to camp.

Autumn Farm is a boutique gay friendly campground just 3kms from Takaka township, and walking distance to the world famous Paynes Ford natural rock climbing area. Nestled within an exquisite three acres of private garden are 14 campsites amongst beautiful trees and manicured gardens. Popular with naturists, facilities include a laundry, kitchen, composting toilets, communal bathroom, and a plunge pool in summer. Note that this is a queer space with an international reputation, be yourself and respect others. Reservations are essential, all sites are $25 per person and your hosts are Peter and Pete.
Kerr Bay Camping Ground (St Arnaud) is located adjacent to Lake Rotoiti with a boat launching ramp nearby. It is surrounded by beech forest and 500 m from the St Arnaud village shop. The camp is not suitable for vehicles greater than 7 m in length. There are five camping zones, each with varying numbers of sites: Bellbird, Fantail, Robin and Tui zones have powered sites with hardened surfaces, while the grassy Kaka zone is more suitable for tents.

The campsite has sites tucked amongst kanuka/manuka forest. It is adjacent to Lake Rotoiti and there is a boat launching ramp nearby. Enjoy water activities on the lake at this easily accessible campsite in the picturesque Nelson Lakes National Park. Note that it is only open during the summer months.
There are 40 non-powered/tent sites.

Payment with a DOC Campsite Pass is preferred. Otherwise, pay your fees with cash at the self-registration stand at the campsite or to the camp warden if present. Put the correct fee in the envelope provided and place the receipt section of the envelope on your vehicle or tent.

An easily accessible camp in a picturesque setting - enjoy water activities or a stroll in the native bush.
A self-registration camp site. A number of water sports are attractions on the
lake and the area is interesting for walking and tramping too. There are four
toilets and a water supply. There are ten tent sites here. No pets please. Take lots of insect repellent. Check
that there is drinking water available at the time.
