Drive to this camping area under a canopy of trees. The Camping Ground
is set in a tranquil hollow surrounded by native bush and exotic trees. We
have a deer enclosure, duck pond and bird aviaries. There is a indoor heated
pool which is a two minute stroll through the bush. Town centre, shops and
restaurants are a ten minute walk from the camp- we are also dog friendly .
All the amenities are well kept and the showers are free. A good kitchen has
full stoves, microwave, fridges and TV and BBQ. The laundry has automatic
washer and dryer. There is also a dump station Your host is Kim. Linen supplied.

Enjoy your two favourite pastimes at this rural golf club complete with campsite, just 2km south of Dannevirke. Tucked away at the rear of the club carpark is a bush-ringed grassy camping area with 9 power points and some room for tents. You're well out of the way of any errant golf balls and guests do not need to be golfers. Campers have the use of the club facilities, including bar and food at certain times; but the kitchen is not available for guests to use. In addition to the club locker rooms, extra unisex showers and toilets are available 24/7. The gate is locked at 9. 30 pm and Armourguard patrol the grounds twice each night.

You also have the club house bar usually open in the late afternoons on competition days (Friday Saturday Sunday), and in the summer on Thursday nights for twilight golfers when you can also get a meal for about $10.

From SHwy 2 west of Dannevirke turn into Maharahara Road, then Kumeti Road and follow to the road end. You will find basic camping (toilets and BBQs only) in a sheltered, bushy glade. Water from the nearby stream must be
boiled before drinking. Day walks over the Ruahine Range can be planned
from here.
Follow the river upstream from the city for about 7 km where you’ll find mature,
landscaped grounds with many gracious trees. Enjoy riverside family camping
with all the extras at this great location. Family-friendly features include the
heated swimming pool and patio area, spa pool, jumping pillow, playgrounds,
wireless hotspot, internet kiosks and games room - or you can make use of
the range of entertainment activities/equipment for hire on-site (e.g, trikes and
kayaks). Take a river cruise or launch your boat from the boat ramp. Choose
from a variety of sites on different levels, some with river frontage (54 sites
have power and there are 100 for tents). The centrally situated amenities
block is all you’d expect and more! The bright kitchen has new appliances
and huge fridge/freezers and opens out to a large, comfortable dining room.
Clean, spacious ablutions have a separate disabled access bathroom and there
is a well-equipped laundry. There is a new family bathroom and small shop
at reception. A dump point is provided. Your hosts are Ben Kay and Jeannie
Marshall. Tent sites are $36 for 2 adults and powered sites are $44 for 2 adults,
or $20 for one person on a tent site, $25 on a power site.
The camp is directly behind the Aramoho Hotel pub and TAB and beside the
river and the railway line. The cluster of permanent living caravans and house
buses, and the back yard bits and pieces around the place give the camp a
lived-in, rather than a holiday feel. The ablutions and kitchen are basic. Tent
sites from $10 per night; powered sites $25 per night. Bruce is the on-site

Located 300m from Kai Iwi Beach this spacious holiday park is only 10 mins from Whanganui. There are 70 powered sites, other campers not requiring power. The park is set on 4.9ha so there is lots of room and excellent, well maintained facilities. Established in the 1960's on idyllic park like grounds, the Kai Iwi Beach Holiday Park is the perfect escape from the hustle of the city, without compromising on location. Take the road to Scotts Ferry at the main road intersection in Bulls, otherwise
you may end up on the wrong side of the river mouth! This small “Camp Inn”
is on your left, just as you enter the Scotts Ferry township, tucked up against a
stopbank of the Rangitikei River. Well loved by fishermen, the tidy paddocksite
has innovative ‘Hume tank’ single toilets and showers, with a dozen power
