A short distance from State highway 5, on the road to Taupo and right opposite the Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Park, this rambling family park offers sheltered campsites in the heart of grape-growing country. It_s bordered by the Esk River that offers safe swimming with unrestricted river access. There are trout and eels, so it_s good for fishing. Shady trees are plentiful and the kids can ride their bikes. The country-style camping attracts some long-term occupants but there are roomy sites for motorhomes and large vehicles. A modest park with a children's playground. The basic clean kitchen has hotplate cooking, microwave and fridge/freezers. There are 2 ablution blocks. There are two spruce up ablution blocks. They offer free showers and a separate disabled access unit. An automatic laundry and coin phone are provided. Your hosts are Dan & Ashlee hope to have a dump point before this book is printed. Seasonal rates apply. No eftpos is available. Please bring cash or cheque.
