Cross the railway line (not in use) and drop into a true seaside environment with pohutakawa trees, sea breezes and the roar of the waves. There are 120 sites, spread across several levels. 60 have power and some enjoy lovely panoramic ocean views from where you can sight the occasional dolphin pod. On the sheltered lower level there are a kids play area, plenty of picnic tables and free-range rabbits! Only 2 km to Bay View shops. You can cook up a storm in the kitchen with hot plate and microwave facilities and pleasant outdoor dining on a BBQ terrace under shade sails with use of a free BBQ. There are new toilet/shower rooms and the central ablutions have a disabled access/family suite. The laundry has excellent automatic equipment and a dump point is provided.
