This holiday park with its lovely mountain views and glorious sunsets has
approximately 40 sites amongst tree-lined and sheltered hedges. The
facilities are modern and sparkling, and one of the ablution blocks is ‘5 star’
style, with underfloor heating and other luxurious extras. There is a spa,
sauna, fitness centre and playground here. A courtesy vinatge car pickup
may be available from local restaurants and you can book at the office
for local trips and attractions. The Upukerora River is 250 metres away
where you can go swimming, fishing, and kayaking, pets are welcome by
arrangement so please call first. Your friendly hosts are the Saunders
family. Unpowered sites are from $18 per person, and $20 for powered.

This beautiful campground welcomes you from the moment you arrive. From the friendly face at the counter, along the drive through the well set out grounds, right to the peaceful camp spots. It's hard to believe you are only 800m from the town centre! The camping sites are on hard stands, with a grass area and picnic tables beside each. Shaded by beautiful mature trees, all you can hear are the birds and breeze rustling in the trees, this is camping at its best. The dining area, TV room and kitchen are excellent with all amenities and internet station, or sit outside under the veranda on one of the comfy couches and just soak in the calm atmosphere. Clean and attractive modern ablutions have a disability access and family suite, and the laundry is kept to a high standard. Free gas fired BBQs, a swimming pool and a children's playground (including toys) are available. What this Qualmark 4 star plus camp offers is the chance to enjoy a rural lifestyle experience. Watch the sheep being hand shorn and the dogs at work, guests can also help feed the farm animals each morning and night. Many activities outside of camp too, with the riverside walkway close by, mountain bikes for hire, gold pans and fishing rods. There is a booking agency for local attractions and it_s an ideal base for fishermen. Your friendly hosts are Lynn and Brent Winter. DESCRIPTION:

Mawley Park, at the northern end of Masterton, occupies an attractive location
on the banks of the Waipoua River (with good swimming holes). The 15 acre,
sheltered grounds are tidy with large trees and plenty of space for the 200
or so tent sites and 54 powered sites. A BBQ shelter has cooking facillities.
The camping areas are grouped in separate sections with sealed road access
and brand new unisex individual ablutions serving each area (these include
disabled access facilities). The park has had a major refurbishment with a lot
of thought been put into what makes a place nice. There’s a large dining hall
with highchairs, a TV and a separate comfortable and modern TV lounge. The
kitchen has gas hobs and is very modern and well equipped. A supermarket
is nearby and QE11 Park is across the road for the kids, whilst there are also a
few small pieces of play equipment to keep the kids amused onsite. A DVD
Library and local information is available at the office. Free washing machines
and $2 dryer are part of the laundry. A dump station is provided. Powered sites $38 for 2, unpowered $36 for 2. Your friendly and enthusiastic hosts are

Miranda is known internationally for its Shore Bird Sanctuary. Escape to this thermal holiday park in a quiet rural setting, and soak up the luxury facilities.
Beautifully landscaped with palm trees and creative touches, the large free-form thermal pool is the focal point of the park and pure indulgence for bathers.
Work up a sweat on the astrograss tennis court and petanque area alongside.
The spacious and glossy kitchen has plenty of dining space, cooking hobs and a microwave, plus fridges and a freezer. The office/shop has a well-stocked supply of the basics. Both ablution blocks have smart, roomy shower cubicles, push-button operated, liquid soap and hand-driers. A completely separate disabled access/family suite is available. The laundry has ample automatic equipment and a dump station is provided. The TV lounges (with Sky TV) has all the comforts of home with carpet and soft seating, and can be extended to provide quiet play space for children or they can let off steam in the outdoor play area. Outside are BBQ’s, and a smart playground. There is a new 18 hole mini golf course, volleyball court and frisbee golf. Campers with dogs have a separate area and arrangements must be made prior to arrival. Paul and Trish are your hosts. Powered sites are from $24.50 per person and $12 for children under 14 years.

DESCRIPTION:

A smart, holiday complex with direct access to the beautiful Waikanae Beach
and just a few minutes stroll to Gisborne shops. This is a large camp with
133 powered sites. It can be intensely camped at times. Sites are level, with
some enjoying a shady aspect. The grounds are securely fenced and hedged
around the perimeter. There are open spaces for volleyball and an electric
BBQ area is a popular get-together spot. The amenities blocks function
well, with plentiful hot water and vanity areas in the ablutions. The large kitchen and laundry are well-equipped with appliances (bring own pots) Hire
a racquet and enjoy a game of tennis on the seaside courts with spectacular
views across to the white cliffs of Young Nicks Head or hire some wheels and
bike around the waterfront. Theres a kids play area, TV/games room too and
holiday entertainment may be offered in the summer. No pets please. A
dump station is provided. All sites are powered, from $18 to $25 per person.

DESCRIPTION:

Really get away from it all at the Waingaro Hot Springs and camp, 24 km west
of Ngaruawahia next to the Waingaro Hotel. Camp on 40 powered sites set
on pleasant sunny terraces (divided by bush and shrubbery) above the pools.
The amenities are small, with a functional kitchen and a communal room with
kitchenette. The well-used ablutions are in three blocks and extra toilets
are handily placed about the grounds. Two automatic laundries and a dump
station are provided. There are plenty of BBQs, picnic tables and children’s
play areas about the grounds. Although the camp store at the entrance has
limited supplies, we advise campers to stock-up in advance. Please do not
bring dogs here. Your hosts are Chood and Amro Singh. All sites are from
$22 per adult and under 12 years $12.50.

DESCRIPTION:

An 8 km drive through coastal dairy country from SHwy 3 at Waverly leads to
this pleasant rustic camp just over the dunes from the beach. Local attractions nearby are ‘Cave Rock’ and fishing. The 28 powered sites are on a grassy paddock edged with flaxes, leaving plenty of room for tents. To the rear of the camp is a great playground for the kids. The main building includes a
serviceable kitchen and a simple recreation/dining hall and there are outdoor wood BBQs. The older-style ablutions are tidy and kept locked when there are no guests.

The code to access facilities can be obtained from the Waverley LibraryPlus office 9 - 5 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 9.30am - 12pm where camp fees are also paid. $15 per night per powered site or $10 for tents (this covers 2 adults and 2 children on a site).
