The recent makeover means fresh paint and new facilities welcome campers, along with the 18 dinosaurs of course. Educational as well as a fun feature, the dinosaurs each have a sign that gives details of their eating habits amongst other information. Just a hop, skip and a jump to the Hannah Bay lake front reserve of Lake Rotorua, the local shops, and the airport, family entertainment is what this place is all about. Facilities include an excellent toilet and shower area, as well as a sparkling kitchen area. Mature trees are scattered throughout this spacious camp, 75 powered sites have hedged borders and a large, open grass area with 25 tent sites. If the children get bored with the amazing playground, and onsite bouncy castle, there is always the recreation room which includes Sky TV and a dining room with wireless hotspot and internet kiosks. There are also kayaks and bikes for hire, tree huts and an under 10 year old children\'s room. Of course the first port of call will probably be the large indoor heated swimming pool with a retractable roof, or the toddler pool and a spa for the grownups. A laundry and dump point are provided.

If you are into mountain biking, then this is the camp for you, with back gate access to the local mountain bike trails, book ahead for the onsite sorts masseuse, and a purpose built bike wash. First camp as you come in from Taupo, this well-groomed park is lush with mature trees and ponga ferns, giving it a restful urban setting. Choose from 100 powered sites, large vehicle bays, or a special 24-site hardstand campervan area, complete with covered walkway to the streamlined kitchen and inviting indoor recreational area. Campers have the option of several different kitchens, all with plentiful cooking facilities, or of enjoying an open-air meal at the BBQ dining areas. Tent sites can be found on a picturesque, elevated lawn at the rear of the camp complete with their own amenities block and views of the surrounding hills. All the facilities are first class and have disabled access, recent makeovers have made things even nicer, and a dump point is provided. Take a soak in the hot mineral pools, or try the heated swimming pool, children are well catered for with lots of new equipment in the adventure playground under magnificent oak trees, as well as a bike track. Right out the back is a large area that includes facilities for playing volleyball, cricket, tennis, or rugby. Large groups are no problem here, and the upgrades planned in the next two years are exciting. The friendly staff in the office will be able to book one of the many attractions on offer, some are discounted for this camp only, and shuttle buses use the camp as a pickup point. This smart urban park is only one kilometre away from the central city and
has 40 level sites. Most of the camping spots are paved and with power, while
a number of rear sites enjoy a secluded garden atmosphere. There are two
kitchens and a roofed pavilion with free electric BBQ and picnic tables. Two
smart ablution blocks, one includes disabled access facilities, also you’ll fnd a
compact laundry. Check out the centrally located seasonal heated swimming
pool, two mineral pools and petanque court. A dump and fll-up station for
mobile homes is available, and a local tour booking facility. A cosy lounge with
a gas fre, book swap and Sky TV, or stay in touch with wireless internet hotspot
and on-site pay phone. Your hosts are the Adams family, and sites are from $40
for two, seasonal rates apply.
Treen and her friendly team will welcome you to this boutique family run
accommodation complex. Hidden away at the rear of the complex are up
to 20 spaces both on grass and in the carpark. Make use of the many onsite
facilities, that include the Lean-To bar, Cocoon cafe and eatery, and a hot
thermally heated pool. The large well-equipped communal kitchen and dining
area has an outside seating area, while the TV and recreation rooms are at the
end of this block where you can have a game of pool. There is also a large
laundry, as well as plentiful toilets and showers. Nearby is the free geothermal park and an aquatic centre, while town is only a 10-15m walk away. Tent sites

A friendly park with art-deco style buildings situated a short drive from central Rotorua. In a quiet suburban location at Ngongotaha, you can relax at the camp or enjoy a short walk to the lake, local village shops or nearby popular trout fishing streams. For the fisherman there is fish cleaning equipment and a smokehouse, and a BBQ can be hired to cook the catch of the day. Facilities are non-smoking and the showers are free. Major upgrades are planned in the kitchen area, a nice outdoor seating area is the start of these. While the kitchen is small at the moment, it has all the amenities you need, and everything is clean and smart. Amuse the children at the playground with trampoline, TV/games room or fun bike hire, while the spa pool or above ground solar heated swimming pool are open from October to May, or stay in touch using the wireless hotspot. Lovely hosts Reece and Dianne will help you in the office which doubles as a camp store, provides information for all local attractions, as well as providing trout fishing supplies. A relaxed Christian focused camp between the beautiful Lakes Rotoehu and Rotoma, some 30m from Rotorua. Adjacent to the Rotoma Scenic Reserve and the local school, it is a peaceful spot away from the main tourist bustle. The camp has a bush backdrop with large, tidy, level sites, and only a short walk to the beautiful Waitangi Soda Springs for a hot soak.
