DESCRIPTION:

Adjoining the thermal pool complex is a 26-site camp ground featuring powered and non-powered sites. There are shower, laundry and kitchen facilities plus a thermally-heated drying room available for campers to use during their stay.
At time of reservation please nominate either powered or non-powered site and provide a clear description  of your camping mode, i.e Camper van (size), Caravan, tent etc.
Check- in is from  2.00pm with check-out 11.00am on the day of departure.

Powered Sites and Conditions For Use Of:
If you wish to hire a powered site for the duration of your stay, your campervan/ caravan/ motorhome MUST DISPLAY a current electrical warrant of fitness.
Your RCD camping powered leads and sockets must be in good condition, no cuts or kinks and of robust construction. No exceptions to this policy as we wish to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for both campers and staff alike.

Campers get unlimited free access to the pool complex (excluding our private pools) to enjoy the luxurious ‘Living Waters’ of Waikite Valley Thermal Pools.

DESCRIPTION:

At the end of Beaumont Road you will find this affordable family camping spot in a picturesque, absolute lakefront setting. Enjoy the boat ramp, jetty and a safe sandy beach all on hand. An adventure playground is provided for the children. Facilities are adequate; the kitchen overlooks the lake and has picnic tables outside and the amenities block is roomy and caters for wheelchairs. A few shady trees dot the grounds and some of the 20 or so spacious powered sites reserved for casual campers have unobstructed beach frontage and peaceful lake views. A conference/recreation room can be utilised and the all-weather BBQ pavilion is a bonus for those long summer nights. A laundry and dump point are provided and boat parking can be arranged.   Off-peak pricing applies.

DESCRIPTION:

Look for the signs pointing to the Wairakei Thermal Valley walk, it is well worth the trip up the gravel road. Tucked into a sheltered glade, this small appealing camp offers rustic appeal and farm animals galore! Your hosts, John and Cathy, run an on-site licensed restaurant that opens from 9am until late, you can also order a steam cooked meal from here, but their speciality are the Devonshire teas they provide. Sit round a large roaring fire or relax outdoors in the garden setting and feed the peacocks and chickens that wander free. Camping on the 25 powered sites under the trees is random in style with older style facilities. There is a simple kitchenette, free showers, toilets and a single auto washing machine. If you have time then explore the 30 minute thermal walk for a small additional charge, you won't be disappointed and see if you can spot some of the many native birds that abound in the trees. There is no wifi.

A relaxed Christian focused camp between the beautiful Lakes Rotoehu and Rotoma, some 30m from Rotorua. Adjacent to the Rotoma Scenic Reserve and the local school, it is a peaceful spot away from the main tourist bustle. The camp has a bush backdrop with large, tidy, level sites, and only a short walk to the beautiful Waitangi Soda Springs for a hot soak. The amenities have a beautiful mural painted on the outside, and have clean, metered showers, toilets, and a breezy covered communal dining and social area beside the kitchens. Nearby Lake Rotoma is a popular spot for fishing and water sports, so you want to utilise the fish cleaning facilities. The camp has 30 powered sites and a similar number of tent sites, under large mature trees. Your friendly hosts are Lucy and Tony Cullen. Tent sites are from $15 per person, with powered sites $20 per person, children five to16 years $8. No credit card or eftpos so bring your cash.

DESCRIPTION:

Commanding an elevated spot overlooking the shores of Lake Taupo at Acacia Bay, this well-groomed park has around 80 sites, most with power, some hedged for privacy and well-shaded with established trees. Hosts William and Colleen have provided excellent facilities with many thoughtful extras to make a camper_s day. A bright and welcoming kitchen with dining area has hot plate and microwave cooking, fridge/freezer and two coin-operated ovens, along with utensils, crockery and cookware on hand. A comfy TV nook has easy chairs - or you can head to the separate games room decked out with more easy chairs, TV, pool table, arcade games and table hockey. The smart ablutions have free showers and lots of bathroom extras that include liquid soap, hand towels, hairdryer, a disabled access bathroom suite and a large laundry. Outdoors the children can burn off some energy on the in the playground while parents take a soak in the spa. A gazebo is provided with gas BBQs and timber-slab banquet table for outdoor dining. Get your basic supplies at the camp store or pop back into town just a few minutes away. Boat ramps are nearby, there are fish cleaning facilities and a dump station are provided for residents only, as well as internet kiosks and wifi. All sites are from $19 per person. Seasonal rates apply and bookings are essential.

The main attraction here are the thermally heated swimming facilities with a brand new pool complete with a swim up bar and cafe. Check in at the resort style reception at the gate, which includes a well stocked shop and booking service for local tourist attractions. Each of the 140 spacious powered campsites have a tap and sump and there is an equal number of tent sites. The modern facilities include immaculately kept kitchens that open to attractively paved BBQ patio, and a separate building has a cosy TV room with large screen Sky TV and a well-equipped games room alongside. The extensive ablutions include unisex family, baby and disabled access bathrooms and three laundries.
