A short walk from Coromandel town centre, the Coromandel TOP 10 Holiday Park is ideally located to discover the Coromandel. There are level sites (both grass and hardstand), including 30 with power and a tenting area with a pleasant rural outlook. Willows and hedges give shelter and a pleasant heated swimming pool enclosure has a BBQ. Three smart kitchens with modern appliances are provided and the sparkling ablution blocks have metered showers. The automatic laundry has ironing equipment and a dump station. There is a jumping pillow for the littler kids. Bikes may be hired and there is a large fish cleaning and boat wash area on-site.

Your hosts are Caron and Sean. Power and tent sites are from $25 to $30 per person. Seasonal rates apply and pets by arrangement.

A solar heated swimming pool, toddlers paddling pool, hot tub and children's adventure play ground make this a wonderful place for all the family. Spacious high quality kitchen , communal BBQ_s area, lounge with Sky TV and laundry facilities. Boat washing and fish filleting station complete with bait freezer for those on a fishing trip with friends. 3km to the passenger ferry into Whitianga and only 15 mins to Hahei and Hot Water beach. Cabins cottages and chalets available as well as free wifi.

Colville Bay Motel and Motor Camp is a half an hour's drive north of Coromandel, this neat and tidy motel and camp spot overlooks a tranquil tidal bay. Despite the remote location, this is very civilised accommodation with a warm, friendly welcome. Enjoy uncrowded camping on well groomed sites behind the motel. There are sites with power and plenty of room for tents. Sites are neatly defined and have both gravel and grass parking. A modern building provides 4 unisex shower and toilet cubicles, including a disabled access suite. Although there is no kitchen, a porch shelter offers washing-up facilities and fridge/freezer, or you can cook in the appealing BBQ arbor with ample covered dining space. A laundry, dump station and private spa room (additional charge) are provided. Enquire about the fishing or bus trips and clean your catch at the fish cleaning station. A fish smoker is available. Your hosts, Wendy or Mark, will look after you.

DESCRIPTION:

Broken Hills Number of tent sites - 45 Maximum number of people - 200 Broken Hills campground. Broken Hills campground Camp beside the Tairua River and explore the old gold mining area around the steep cliffs. The Broken Hills Campsite near the end of Puketui Valley Rd is located beside the Tairua River amongst native bush. The camp operates on a first come, first served basis. It has toilets and a rubbish collection area, but no piped water. Water taken directly from the river or streams should be boiled or treated before drinking to reduce the risk of infection. A camp manager regularly visits the site during summer to check on camping, clean facilities and collect fees. An honesty box system operates at other times. Please be considerate to other campers and keep noise levels down. Camping outside designated areas is not permitted.

DESCRIPTION:

This neat clean well maintained holiday resort, just 17 minutes drive north of
Coromandel Town, offers an inviting welcome to the tired traveller. Set up
camp on one of a series of elevated grassy terraces with bush backdrops and
relax whilst enjoying the uninterrupted sea views. A delightful, rocky stream
borders the camp and the beach is just across the road. The amenities are
compact but immaculately clean and well presented.. The kitchen has 2 stoves
and fridge/freezer, or cook up an outdoor feast in the large hexagonal enclosed
BBQ pavilion, complete with 2 central BBQs and lots of tables and seating.
Whilst you’re enjoying dinner, you can watch the kids splashing about in the
adjacent swimming pool and spa area. Free showers are provided, there is an
automatic laundry available. As the name suggests, fisherfolk are well catered
for with ‘on-site’ fishing charters, a water taxi service, dinghy hire and bait tackle
for sale. The office shop sells the basics and there is a poolroom/TV lounge.
Your hosts are Ann-Charlott, Thomas, Johan, Emilie and Malin. Of the 22 sites
available 14 have power.
