DESCRIPTION:

Closest to the start of the Abel Tasman National Park walks, there are views out to the beach in this lively, happy campground.  There are plenty of tent sites set in a garden area; enjoy the sound of the sea and birdsong plus the company of Pukekos and Wekas.
Copses of natural bush are dotted around the camp. There is a mini camp store sells reasonably priced wine and beer, you can enjoy the café/bar/restaurant. A bus stop is close by. The ablutions are well-kept and have disability facilities. There is a new block of showers with a view of the beach, and the open-style kitchen and dining area that has an extension with several BBQs, help yourself to herbs out of the garden. The laundry has automatic equipment. Enjoy an evening on the large communal deck with a camp fire and native trees all around.

All activity bookings can be made at Reception including Water Taxis, Kayaking, SUPs, Sky Diving, River Canyoning, Hand gliding, Microlites and a massage to end the day here. You can also leave your car at the secure car park on site. Your hosts are Rhonda, Milan and Will. Tent sites are from $20 per person and power sites $22 per person. Seasonal rates apply.

DESCRIPTION:

This popular holiday resort is a holiday in itself as there is so much for both children and adults to do. A summer programme is run to keep the kids busy, and in addition to tennis, a swimming pool, and adventure play grounds, there is a large sandy beach where petanque and volleyball take place. A restaurant has a roof top caf_ overlooking the water and there are around 200 sites are available. The kitchens are good, with gas and microwave cooking and a dining patio off one, plus BBQs. There are numerous shower and toilet blocks and the big, comfortable TV and recreation room opens to an extensive deck. A large laundry, central to the camp, has auto machines, there is a dump station, and internet access is available. Your hosts are Gary, Erica and June. Unpowered sites are $34 to $40, or with power $34 to $50 for two, please note that seasonal price changes apply. Pets by arrangement, except in December and January, and no cats because of native wildlife. The park is clothes optional with designated _no clothes_ areas in February and March only.

Located in Marahau one hour from Nelson and at the southern end of the Abel Tasman National Park. Something special in rural camping here as you soak up the peaceful environment of this delightful setting. Stroll through native bush, swim in the fresh water swimming holes, or wander through to the golden sand beaches. From the leafy bowers, to the large sites in the Bull Paddock, this is a place to make your escape. Divided into two camping area, both have large dividing trees and shrubs. Near the shop and office, is a domestic-size service block, great for large groups, and secure parking is provided across the road for those on expeditions. Further down the lane are 35 large private power sites, individually hedged, with flowering borders and a central banquet-size eating pavilion. There is a ranch-style unisex ablution block that includes a disability toilet, all in spotless condition. The kitchen has gas hobs, refrigerators, freezers, a microwave oven and filtered water, as well as BBQ areas located by the kitchens. An automatic washer and a dryer are in the laundry alcove and internet facilities are available. Resident livestock include friendly cats, dogs, llamas, and the occasional inquisitive cow. Only a 400m walk to the entrance of the Abel Tasman National Park, and not much further the beautiful water front. There are regular and on-demand bus services to Marahau from local towns and Nelson, as well as water taxi services based in Marahau. Your friendly hosts are the Macdonald family. DESCRIPTION:

Behind the busy shop and motel complex is a small area with 26 hard stands
all surrounded by plantings. All sites have power, but there are limited grassed
areas for camping available. The service block has tidy lined showers and toilets
and a laundry with auto washers and dryers. The kitchen area has been taken
over somewhat by the permanents, but is clean and has good cooking facilities
with a full stove. From here you can take a wine trail or visit Rabbit Island with
its beautiful sandy unspoiled beach. Your hosts are Amber and Chris. Tent sites
$10 per person, powered sites $20 per person (includes car), and $15 for each
extra person. Children are $10, under three are free.

Abel Tasman Marahau Beach Camp is just a stone's throw from the delightful beach you will find level sites with some shady spots. On the other side of the road is a well-stocked shop and the camp office. Water taxis leave from here, and kayak hire is available. Start your tramping experience from here or laze on the safe swimming beach. There is a public phone and a post box. In the camping area is a sandy playground for the children and a central amenity block. The large kitchen has a full stove, microwave cooking and in the dining end, a TV and internet station. There are roomy shower cubicles, and a versatile laundry with automatic washers, dryer, ironing equipment, fridges and freezers. A dump station. Eftpos and credit card are some of the facilities. Adjacent to the camp is a licensed restaurant. Your hosts are the Alborn family.

Located minutes from Nelson city centre, we offer affordable camping in a bush-like setting with a variety of activities to suit your taste. Take a walk along the river, go mountain biking / trail running on the many trails in the surrounding hills, or take a dip in the nearby swimming hole.

You can use our kitchen/toilets while camping under the stars amongst the beautiful native trees. Nature and bird life at its best.

Kerr Bay Camping Ground (St Arnaud) is located adjacent to Lake Rotoiti with a boat launching ramp nearby. It is surrounded by beech forest and 500 m from the St Arnaud village shop. The camp is not suitable for vehicles greater than 7 m in length. There are five camping zones, each with varying numbers of sites: Bellbird, Fantail, Robin and Tui zones have powered sites with hardened surfaces, while the grassy Kaka zone is more suitable for tents.
