This is a large country camp with plentiful facilities, including those for disabled people. There are a lot of permanents in this park, but it is done very well. An immaculate kitchen has a microwave, rangettes and fridge/freezer. The laundry includes a children’s bath and use of an iron. The ablution blocks are very spacious with lots of good showers. A smaller kitchen and a laundry have been added to help in the busy season. A separate TV/dining room has double doors opening to the garden, where there is a children’s play area. Much hard work has been put into landscaping the grounds, which are colourful and well kept. Play golf on the 10-hole par 3 golf course, and eftpos is available. Please and make sure you book in advance as there are limited sites.

With the airport just down the road, and close to the city, this park offers various campsites for both vans and tents. Surrounded by large trees, sites are on both grass and gravel, and has an attractive tenting area with a mini kitchen. A large children_s playground, swimming pool and sauna are provided, and there are pedal bikes available for hire. The modern kitchen has all appliances and an outdoor under-cover dining area, there are two amenity blocks, all well presented. An on-site shop, restaurant, and a car storage facility are provided, and a courtesy van is available to take you to the airport within office hours. Tasman Holiday Parks - Christchurch is a premier holiday park offering you entertainment in the indoor heated swimming pool with a curling slide into the water and toddlers pool. They also have a private spa available for use. Enjoy the jumping pillow, playground and games room which has pool table and table tennis. Hire pedal cars or bikes by the hour and keep the kids amused. There is a game called a Neos 360, the world's first electronic play system for the playground combining the speed and fun of video games with the explosive movement of aerobic exercise. There are communal facilities with showers, toilets, kitchen, dining room and laundries available for guests to use, as well as BBQ areas to meet fellow travelers. About 2km south of Hornby, and close to Templeton shops, is this camp on the
edge of SH1, with a number of long-termers and home-base buses, although
there is still the odd spot for the holidaymaker. Amenities include a TV room,
three kitchens, an ablution block (with disabled facilities) and a laundry. A gas
BBQ is available, and there are powered sites near the office for late arrivals.
A nearby garage has takeaway food or you can eat at the hotel, and there is a
dump station. Your hosts are Bob and Carol Christie. Powered sites are $45
for two people, with tent sites from $25 for two.
Behind the hotel is a basic campground with room for 10 powered sites,
separated and sheltered by hedges. The ablutions are basic and the laundry is
available on request. There is no kitchen but meals are available at the hotel.

With bike tracks through the forest at your door, this well sheltered camp ground with plenty of room for both tent sites and good flat areas for campervans. The ablution block is well presented with excellent step up showers, and the kitchen/dining includes a full stove and an internet station. Kitchen utensils are handed out when you book in, complete with tea towels and dishwashing liquid. Seating is provided under the trellised verandas, and there are free gas BBQs scattered around the lawns as well as a laundry. The whole complex is sparkling clean, light and airy, and all the blocks are linked by covered walkways. The drinking water is fresh from a spring, fill up your van or empty it at the dump station provided, a recycling station is also here.. This is campground has a lovely atmosphere, from the playground, badminton and volleyball nets provided, to the photos on the wall in the office that shows how the campers have fared over the years. There are bushwalks and mountain bike tracks in the area, or if that is too adventurous you can browse through the swap library, or the hot pools are only a couple of minutes away by car. Lee and Greg are your welcoming hosts. Tent and unpowered sites are $15 per person and 16 powered sites are available at $32 for two.

Off Linwood Ave, is this pretty little camp, 5km from the centre of Christchurch, with a perimeter of tree lined campsites. The centre hosts a clean, pleasant kitchen opening to a courtyard BBQ garden. Excellent ablutions, with piped music, include a disability suite and a good laundry. Of the 40 large power sites, many have hard stands. A special sheltered area close to the amenities has been set aside for tenters, and a swimming pool and children's playground are centrally placed.
