DESCRIPTION:
A family park on a grand scale, this camp has 400 sites, a well-stocked dairy
and is only a 500m stroll to the beach. Bordered by a wetland reserve with
walking tracks to the beach and picnic reserve, the wildlife park, flying fox,
adrenalin forest and orienteering will help fill your holiday days. The grounds
have many large shady trees and BBQs are scattered throughout the three
camping areas. Each area has its own ablution block, some may be closed out
of season. A well-appointed clean kitchen has good appliances. The modern
TV/dining room is carpeted and has comfy chairs. The tiled ablutions are light and airy and include a bath and disability toilets. There is a covered BBQ area,
mini golf, and tennis courts. The children can enjoy an excellent playground.
Eftpos and internet access are available. Powered sites from $32 for two
adults, non-powered sites from $30 for two adults and group rates available.

Private cabins and sheltered camping sites are nestled among mature trees and hedges. Choose from powered or non-powered campsites, available on either grass or gravel surfaces. Guests have access to a communal kitchen and dining area, as well as coin-operated laundry facilities. Hot showers are included in your nightly rate—no timers, no extra fees. A convenient dump station is available on-site, and free Wi-Fi is provided for all guests.

Tasman Holiday Parks - Christchurch is a premier holiday park offering you entertainment in the indoor heated swimming pool with a curling slide into the water and toddlers pool. They also have a private spa available for use. Enjoy the jumping pillow, playground and games room which has pool table and table tennis. Hire pedal cars or bikes by the hour and keep the kids amused. There is a game called a Neos 360, the world's first electronic play system for the playground combining the speed and fun of video games with the explosive movement of aerobic exercise. There are communal facilities with showers, toilets, kitchen, dining room and laundries available for guests to use, as well as BBQ areas to meet fellow travelers. Email and wireless facilities available. The reception offers brochures and local information and advice to you. With the airport just down the road, and close to the city, this park offers various campsites for both vans and tents. Surrounded by large trees, sites are on both grass and gravel, and has an attractive tenting area with a mini kitchen. A large children_s playground, swimming pool and sauna are provided, and there are pedal bikes available for hire. The modern kitchen has all appliances and an outdoor under-cover dining area, there are two amenity blocks, all well presented. An on-site shop, restaurant, and a car storage facility are provided, and a courtesy van is available to take you to the airport within office hours. Wireless internet access and pets are welcome by arrangement. Your hosts are Julie, Steve, and Don. All sites from $40 for two adults.

About 2km south of Hornby, and close to Templeton shops, is this camp on the edge of SH1, with a number of long-termers and home-base buses, although there is still the odd spot for the holidaymaker. Amenities include a TV room,
three kitchens, an ablution block (with disabled facilities) and a laundry. A gas BBQ is available, and there are powered sites near the office for late arrivals. A nearby garage has takeaway food or you can eat at the hotel, and there is a

One of Canterbury's best kept secrets. Nestled into the base of the Rakaia Gorge and located on the South Side of the Rakaia Gorge Bridges on the Inland Scenic Route. This camp has a new ablution block with toilets, hot showers and disability facilities. Instead of a kitchen there is a kitchen shelter where you bring your own cookers and equipment. (BBQ available for a small fee) A laundry tub is on-site. A free book exchange operates from the kitchen. There are plenty of picnic tables and BBQ areas, some overlooking the river. The area is beautifully kept and very sheltered with an abundance of trees. Sites are $10pp and to encourage family groups, children under 12 are free. Other attractions include Salmon fishing in the world famous Rakaia River, Rakaia Gorge Walkway, Jet Boating and Jet Boat Trips, It is close to Methven and Mount Hutt. At the end of the road, 2km from Hanmer Village, is this extensive park with spacious sites and lovely mountain views. Well-serviced with sealed roads and over 60 campsites, there are also large trees for shade. The clean kitchen has all appliances with a dining area next door, as well as BBQ tables outside under shade sails. The ablutions are excellent and have a disability unit, there is also a drying room opening off the laundry. The separate games room has
table tennis, pool and air hockey as well as arcade games, and you won't find a better children's playground - it comes complete with an initiative course! For those who want to relax, there is a comfy TV lounge with an internet station,
a petanque pit, or cool off in the swimming pool. There are bikes available for hire, both children and adult sizes available. Wireless internet and a dump station are here for campers.

Next to the local A&P Showgrounds, this well maintained camping ground is laid out on open grounds with many large shade trees. Plenty of level sites with a choice of grass or gravel. In the amenities pavilion is a large, well-presented, functional kitchen with full stoves, next door is a TV and dining room with a cosy log fire. In addition there is a very large games room where you can play on one of the arcade games, have a game of pool or table tennis, even table hockey. Comfy sofas to sit on and several more dining tables in here too, or go outside for a game of lawn tennis. Internet is available, the tidy ablutions have metered showers, and the laundry has automatic equipment. A variety of shops are in the village within walking distance, you might want to have a go at hot air ballooning or take a trip to the snow at Mt. Hutt ski field, all of which you can do from here.
