Really get away from it all at the Waingaro Hot Springs and camp, 24 km west of Ngaruawahia next to the Waingaro Hotel. Camp on 40 powered sites set on pleasant sunny terraces (divided by bush and shrubbery) above the pools. The amenities are small, with a functional kitchen and a communal room with kitchenette. The well-used ablutions are in three blocks and extra toilets are handily placed about the grounds. Two automatic laundries and a dump station are provided. There are plenty of BBQs, picnic tables and children’s play areas about the grounds. Although the camp store at the entrance has limited supplies, we advise campers to stock-up in advance. Please do not bring pets here.
