DESCRIPTION:

Pauanui can be a little challenging to navigate for the tourist, as there are
minimal information signs. Look for Vista Paku as you come into town
and then follow it nearly to the end. This camp is largely filled with wellkept,
permanent ‘weekenders’ and there are only 7 powered sites for casual
stopovers. The smart camp kitchen is roomy, with modern appliances and fridge/freezer. The bright ablutions have tidy, free showers with plenty of hot
water and a baby’s room with bath and change table. An automatic laundry
and dump station are provided. There is an internet kiosk here. Your hosts
are Treive and John Andrew. Powered sites are $20 per adult and $12 per
child. Seasonal rates apply

DESCRIPTION:

Broken Hills Number of tent sites - 45 Maximum number of people - 200 Broken Hills campground. Broken Hills campground Camp beside the Tairua River and explore the old gold mining area around the steep cliffs. The Broken Hills Campsite near the end of Puketui Valley Rd is located beside the Tairua River amongst native bush. The camp operates on a first come, first served basis. It has toilets and a rubbish collection area, but no piped water. Water taken directly from the river or streams should be boiled or treated before drinking to reduce the risk of infection. A camp manager regularly visits the site during summer to check on camping, clean facilities and collect fees. An honesty box system operates at other times. Please be considerate to other campers and keep noise levels down. Camping outside designated areas is not permitted.

DESCRIPTION:

On Shelly Beach for swimming and a boat ramp less than 5mins away, this is a popular spot for boaties. Camp on level, roomy sites, dotted with trees in pleasant surroundings. 72 sites have power and there are abundant tent sites. Kids will enjoy the jumping pillow and climbing tower. The centrally-located, well-presented amenities block offers free showers and a disabled access/family suite (with baby_s bath). A large, bright kitchen opens to a breezeway and basic outdoor dining area and BBQ. There is a roomy automatic laundry with tubs, an ironing board, and a dump station is provided. Rest up in the camper_s lounge that has a fireplace, easy chairs and TV. The office/shop carries some basic items and fishing trips and tours can be arranged. Boat parking, internet and wireless are available. All sites are from $21 per adult, plus $6 extra for power. Seasonal rates apply. Dogs by prior arrangement only, and groups are very welcome.

DESCRIPTION:

There are two sites to camp on Okahu Road, the road end and the larger mid-Okahu camp (formerly known as Grader Camp). The camps are on grass terraces adjacent to Okahu Stream. The areas kahikatea trees were extensively logged and now podocarp are regenerating. Good picnicking and walking in the forest.

Bookings not required - first come, first served.

Located in Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne Conservation Park in the East Coast region.

DESCRIPTION:

Opoutere Coastal Camping is set alongside the Wharekawa Wildlife Sanctuary and broad sweep of Opoutere surf beach. This coastal hideaway is just 5 km from SHwy 25 and less than two hours drive from Auckland airport. The camp is open Labour Weekend to the end of April, and the offce/shop at the entrance offers basic supplies and controls the barrier arm card access way. Choose from a mixture of 25 powered and plenty of non-powered sites spread across bush-ringed grounds. There are two ablution blocks with unisex metered shower cubicles and a disabled access suite. The kitchens have all the usual equipment (no oven) and a covered verandah with BBQ for relaxed, outdoor meals. An automatic laundry and dump station are provided and the camp is suited to large vehicles. Enjoy the bushwalks and beachwalks, mountain biking and kayaking on hand. For conservation reasons no pets are allowed. Non powered sites are from $15 to $19 per person. Powered sites
are from $15 to $23 per person. Seasonal rates apply.

Our pet policy allows animals on our premises but not in any of our buildings. We ask that dogs/cats are on leads on our premises and kept under control as we are in the middle of a Council Reserve. We must protect our local native birds and nature.

DESCRIPTION:

The family park is a short walk to the centre of Whitianga. It offers large
level sites some some hedged for privacy and beautiful trees, giving plenty of
shade. There is ample room for cars and boats. Recreational facilities include
an outdoor swimming pool, children's playground, TV room, BBQ’s and some
picnic tables on wheels to take to your site. The indoor area has tables and
chairs and some USB ports and internet kiosks. The camp has a wireless hot
spot. There is a fsh cleaning area, car and boat wash and a dump point on site.
The well kept ablutions include a baby’s bath in the Ladies facilities. Showers
are no charge. The kitchen, with stainless steel benches, has fridge freezers,
hotplates, toasters, microwaves and a water flter. There is a central table for
food preparation. The laundry has all new equipment with coin operated
Maytag washing machines and dryers. There is an ironing board and iron set
up for campers. Sites are from $19.50 per person. Seasonal rates apply
