DESCRIPTION:
Tucked in behind the motel complex are eleven campervan sites on a hard gravel surface, there are no tent sites here. A high fence surrounds the area, giving privacy from the road, and there are some plantings. The kitchen/dining has a full stove and all other facilities, and a BBQ is also available. The lounge area has soft seating, and sparkling clean ablutions also include a hairdryer in the ladies, with large showers and a separate disability suite. There is a 24hr laundry with washing machine, dryer, tub, and a large drying room. A play area is available, the beach is just across the road, and it is a three minute walk to the glow worms. Free wifi is available for guests, as well as a dump station and an inground swimming pool. Seasonal rates apply.

Has fully equipped kitchen (small but has everything you need plus some), free washer and laundry detergent, clothes line for drying. GREAT pub with good prices across the street. Friendly local people.
Between Reefton and Greymouth, this camp occupies a handy area with
plenty of tent sites available. The grounds have lovely established trees with
a tidy lawn for the tents, and four power sites on gravel. The small kitchen
has an electric rangette, a microwave oven and a fridge. There is only one of each (shower, toilet and basin), basic but clean and nicely painted, although the ladies shower is due a makeover. Dogs are at the caretaker’s discretion, and the washing machine is free.

You can enjoy two large, well-stocked kitchens, two lounges, and free movies and wireless internet. The showers and toilets are unisex, and a public laundromat is right next door. The hostel has a relaxed atmosphere with free sports equipment, mountain bikes, surf boards and surf trips available, run by the onsite surf school. The RSA has a back entrance next door and there is a free herb garden. Bazil's Bus is available for transport, there is off street parking available and a covered area for bikes and motorbikes. Overlooking the gorge, and with the Buller River just across the road, you will get lovely views from this camp. Sites are behind the licensed cafe/hotel/backpackers, plenty of room on grassy paddocks, or park your van in the carpark. You share the kitchen and bathroom facilities with the back-packers, and you will be glad of the large modern shower and toilet cubicles. Lots of things to do here, walk up Berlin_s Hill, or over to the river, have a bite to eat in the cafe, relax in the garden, or have a drink in the pub. Just a hop, step and a jump from the beach, this gorgeous camp has room for up to 140 campers, 55 sites with power, spacious, and most overlooking a safe swimming beach. Quiet, clean and friendly is the motto of this camp, and you can see it everywhere you look. The amenities are generous and clean, there seem to be ablution blocks every time you turn around. They include a baby_s bathroom and disabled suite, and another building housing four family bathrooms. The spacious stainless kitchen has a large chiller fridge and all other amenities, and there is an attractive sunroom/dining set up next door. At the end of the building is an inviting undercover BBQ area with seating. There is a separate lounge/TV room, and a games room that includes arcade games and table hockey, and two internet kiosks are available. The well-equipped laundry has several washers and dryers, while the children_s playground at the far end of the grounds is a good one, including an in ground trampoline, fenced on three sides for safety. You will get a lovely greeting as you come into the reception from your friendly hosts Chrissy and Carl. Tent sites are $36 to $38 for two, extra adults are $18 to $19. Power sites $42 to $46 for two, extra adults are, and children aged 1 to 14 years are $10.

Behind the Challenge Service Station is this RV park situated on what used to be
a car lot. The small area is all sealed, and the fairly new amenities include disability
access to showers and toilets, several washing machine and dryers, and a dump
station. There was no kitchen when we visited, but we are told there is one about
to be built, and there is free wi fi. It's not the prettiest camp spot but is great if you
are wanting to be close to town. There are 20 power sites available from $25.

On the scenic coastal highway some 26km south of Westport is this lovely camp surrounded by native bush. There are 15 power sites (most on gravel) and around 100 tent sites, all on level ground with trees and punga for shade. Reasonably close to both sea and river fishing, you can also go gold mining tours, underwater cave rafting and a cafe just down the road. The kitchen is a bright and airy space that comes fully equipped, alongside it is another room with seating and TV. The ablutions have all been recently updated, they include a beautiful wooden vanity unit and are tastefully decorated. The laundry has washing machines and dryers, and is newly painted, and wireless internet is available. A new addition is a children's playground, and pets are permitted by arrangement. Your hosts are Graeme and Lana. Tent sites are $15 per person, power sites are $17 per person. Children under 12 years are half price, and under 5 years are $2.50.

In a rural setting with a small lake, great views of the mountains and close
to the sea, this camp ground is run by people who know about camping.
Landscaped grounds with room for tents, the 12 powered sites are all on
hard gravel, and some cater for large vehicles. The buildings have had a
lovely make over with a modern, clean kitchen, gas hobs, fridge, microwave
and wall oven. The tastefully decorated dining/lounge has a log/coal file,
while the spotless modern ablutions have spacious showers. Other facilities
include a laundry, fire BBQ and scattered throughout the grounds are picnic
tables. Relax around the brazier in the evening with your marshmallows.

hard stands are provided for vehicles. Most have lovely grass strips between
them and some of the sites are extra-large with good access for buses. The
two kitchens are well equipped with full stoves, hotplates and fridge/freezers
and a dining space with a separate TV and internet room. A clean ablution
block has a disability/family suite, plus a children’s bath and a laundry with
up-to-date automatic equipment. The other two sets of ablutions are well
appointed and clean with well-lined roomy showers serviced by gas water
heating and hairdryers. You can cook inside in the kitchen with all amenities or
outside under the covered BBQ area. All the mod cons here, and everything
is immaculately presented and clean as a whistle, and you will appreciate the
under floor heating in the bathrooms if staying in winter! A great adventure
playground has been provided for the children, as well as pedal cars for hire.
Parents, however, will love the new spa room. Other amenities include a
dump point, phones and free internet, while there is a licensed restaurant with
takeaways close by. Your adventure trips can start here with many activities to
