Where better to base yourself in the Far North than Ahipara Holiday Park that is 5 minutes walk from the iconic Ninety Mile Beach? The settlement of Ahipara is just 15 minutes drive south west of Kaitaia which finds you at this very popular holiday park. Accommodation ranges from tent and powered sites, all in a tranquil garden setting where you can listen to the birds and the distant roar of the waves. Enjoy excellent facilities outdoors with an awesome free BBQ area with outdoor dining, sand volleyball court, fish filleting table with free use of fish smoker. Free wireless internet is available and accessible from anywhere in the park. Indoors is a large dining/lounge reception area with SKY TV, internet kiosks, table tennis and a large open fire to keep you warm on cool nights during the winter. Your host is Sandy. The park is a pick up point for a bus tour to Cape Reinga.

DESCRIPTION:
Aroha Island is a 12ha sanctuary in the Kerikeri Inlet and is a short 12km
drive north east of Kerikeri, in the stunning Bay of Islands. A causeway
links the island to the mainland, providing permanent and convenient vehicle
access. It is a natural haven with a wide diversity of New Zealand plants
and birds including the rare North Island Brown Kiwi.
Stroll the private beach, kayak the inlet, take a bush walk, look for birds
and check out the information in the Eco Centre. We offer a range of
accommodation including our campground, bush cottages and our inlet view
Kiwi Lodge…. so come and stay for a night or two and have the chance to see kiwi in their natural habitat.
Aroha Island offers camping on one of our two beautiful campgrounds.
Unpowered sites down by our sheltered Kerikeri inlet beach or a choice of
powered or unpowered sites in our upper bush campground. It’s the perfect place to just relax or to use as a holiday base to explore the Bay of
Islands. If you are travelling with a larger group and are looking for a
range of accommodation, we also have our lodge and cottage accommodation.
Please note because of the presence of Kiwi & the sensitive nature of the
island, a “No Pets, No Smoking” policy is in place, thank you.

Bay of Islands Holiday Apartments & Campervan Park, is a delightful small boutique park has 28 campervan sites (17 powered and 11 unpowered). It comes complete with new ablution block which is very spacious and clean and laundry with washing machine and dryer The showers are $2 metered.. It is 250 meters from the beach, three minutes to Haruru Falls, close to the supermarket, two kilometers to the golf course and 1 kilometer to Paihia Village. What more could you wish for, except that there is a great BBQ shelter free for you to use overlooking a natural pond. Seasonal rates apply. Free unlimited Wi-Fi available. Your new hosts are Lesley and Gary Lucas.

Easy to find, this large park is beside the Waitangi River, and an easy drive to
Paihia approx. 6 km away At the entrance is a well stocked shop and office.
The grounds are level with lovely mature trees, a children’s play area, flying fox,
swimming pool and BBQ. The river is safe for swimming, you can hire a kayak.
The main kitchen is very pleasant, light and airy with absolutely everything.
Adjacent is a roomy dining/lounge/TV area with a DVD. In addition to
communal fridge/freezers, refrigerated lockers can be hired at $2.50 per day.
A second kitchen is basic and is next to the ablutions The laundry is well
equipped with automatic machines. A few dining spots are set on the banks
of the river with a views across the water. A dump station is available Many

Absolutely amazing waterfront park with grounds boasting the best direct views of the
falls, there is a private salt water beach. The "Hundertwasser-style' amenities cottage has showers, toilets and a small kitchen. The camp laundry has a washing machine and dryer. Kayaks with life jackets
are available for free for quests, and free Wi-fi is available on site. A dairy and take-away
are close by. Sites are from $15 per person (seasonal rates apply).

Right next to a Medical Centre on Kerikeri Road 350m from town centre,
entry down the palm lined driveway has been greatly improved to facilitate
easy access to the garden camping on lawns (2 sites have power and taps). The
grounds have a fenced swimming pool with water slide and mature trees. This
is a quiet and family orientated camp. The toilet/shower suites are handy and
all spic and span. An all-purpose room has cooking facilities, TV, fridge/freezer
and laundry equipment. There is a free BBQ or try the local eateries. Your
hosts are Heather and Arthur. All sites are from $40 for two people. Shower
tokens supplied.

Drive in off the southern approach road, and take the road signposted to the
Airport, near the junction with S Hwy 10. Hideaway offers plenty of lawn
tent sites and 10 power sites, all with taps and sumps. Communal facilities are plentiful but well-used. There are two lounges and two big homely kitchens complete with all utensils, plus two modern laundries. The ablutions have both separate and unisex showers available. Outdoors there is a free-form swimming pool, with newly renovated deck, new BBQ’s and sink. You can buy provisions at the lodge/store/office. This camp is used mainly as a base for seasonal workers. 24 hour access to the Internet is available. Seasonal rates apply.

Bump along 90 mile beach for 8km on an unsealed road, the camp is set a little
way back from the beach. Enjoy the amazing sunsets and just a short distance to Cape Reinga; so good for fishing. Surrounded by sand dunes with a view of the sea. Open for camping and can take large vehicles. The ablutions are modern with hot and cold showers. Besides the flush-toilet there are also an eco composting toilet.
