DESCRIPTION:

A family owned holiday park set in 32 hectares of beautiful native forest at the foot of the Kaimai Ranges. A haven in the bush bordered by a sparkling stream and complimented by warm thermal swimming pools, all of which are included with your stay. The camping area at the front of the complex has 67 powered sites and a large open field for non-powered camping. The camp kitchen offers the usual appliances and plenty of fridge/freezer space. An automatic laundry annex houses the washing machines and dryers. The main ablutions have been recently redecorated and are tidy with good bench space. There is a second ablution block available near the non-powered field. The recently new owners are continually upgrading the property. All sites cost $18 per adult, $10 per child, and the showers take a $2 coin. Motorhomes Welcome.

An immaculately groomed ‘garden-park’ set in a predominantly rural area, 19 km north of Tauranga. There are 40 powered sites and another 15 for tents,
all set amongst grounds lush with colourful flower beds and trees. The main
attractions are the 3 natural thermal pools to soak in. The offce offers a
mini-market for any basics you need when making use of the gleaming kitchen.
There are plenty of frst-class appliances including microwave, fridges and
freezer and room to dine under a huge covered patio/BBQ area that has
views to the nearby ranges. Excellent ablutions have timed showers and
a disabled access suite. There’s an adventure playground, pool room and a
‘comfy-cushion’ style TV room and camp library. Bruce and Sharon Addison
will accept pets by arrangement. All sites are from $20 per adult.

Streams is this basic remote campsite. Located at the entrance to Raukumara
Conservation Park it is a base for walks, fly fshing, mountain biking and hunting.
With space for around 16 tents, facilities include toilets, BBQ areas and water
supply from the stream.

The colourful gardens are prolifc, with hedges and trees and the beach is just
300m away. You will find over 100 level lawn sites, most with power. The well
equipped kitchen has boiling water on tap. The bright, clean ablution block
has metered showers. In the laundry there is commercial equipment and a
freezer. Fish-cleaning and smoking facilities are on-hand and permits for boat
launching are available. There is a play area for children. Your hosts are Hone
and Helen. Tent sites are from $14 to $16 per adult, powered sites from $15
to $18. (Seasonal rates apply).

This delightful camp is in Waihi township tucked into a hidden valley 10 minutes
from Waihi Beach and the Karangahake Gorge walkways, and the newly
appointed Hauraki rail trail. There are 52 powered sites and unlimited tent
space spread across 10 acres of park-like grounds. Try down by the river, close
to the facilities or in the wide open spaces surrounded by mature trees and
gardens. It might be fun to take a walk to the gold and silver mines. The kids
will love chucking bread for the ducks, petting the pigs, giving the Suffolk sheep
a pat, or feeding the trout in the stream. They can then burn off some energy
in the large outdoor swimming pool, while the adults enjoy a well-appointed
kitchen with stoves, microwaves and fridge with outdoor BBQ/dining pergola
alongside. The smart ablutions have free showers with a disabled access suite.
An automatic laundry and dump point are provided. Gloria is your host. All
sites are $20 per person.

Just over the Hairini Bridge in a central city location is this manicured camp.
A convenient base for the local attractions, you can camp in a peaceful spot
beside the waters of the inner harbour. There are 60 powered sites and 9
non-powered. If your home is on wheels there are fully-serviced winteringover sites (bookings necessary) and 10m plus sites suited to large vehicles.
The smart kitchen is compact, with gas hobs and microwave cooking. The
ablutions are clean, with free hot water showers. An automatic laundry and dump station are provided. Enjoy the library. Your hosts are Kerri and
Dan. Pricing ranges from $25 for a cyclist’s tent site (no vehicle) through to
powered sites at $36 for two.
