West Coast beauty
An introduction to New Zealand.   New Zealand is split into 2 main islands (3 if you count Stewart Island). The North Island contains about three quarters of New Zealand’s population. The North and South Island’s are roughly similar in area however the North Island is volcanic in nature whereas the South Island has the Southern Alps as a significant feature.

New Zealand is a land of contrast from its tall craggy mountains, to its sweeping beaches, surreal thermal area to the rolling pastures. The mountains provide a playground for the camper, the tramper, the ski boarder, the skier, cyclists and walkers.

All the water hobbies and sports are to be found on our beaches and rivers. The wide rushing waterways provide thrills and challenges for canoes, kayaks, surf skis, power boats, pleasure boats, paragliders. Boats of all sizes can fish or just sail our beautiful oceans. There is plenty of room for the jetskier, and surfer, or boogie boarder on our safe beaches.

New Zealand is the country for adventure, while here, try a bungy jump, enjoy the buzz of, white water rafting down the fast flowing rivers. For those who like to fly there are experiences a-plenty. Fly over the high mountain peaks, or land on a moving glacier. For those who prefer the do-it-yourself approach, try a parachute jump or a parapent.

Whether you have a motor home, caravan, camper van, bicycle, or just hitchhike, in New Zealand, enjoy our thick native bush, listen to the birdsong, explore the Conservation tracks, pan for gold, fish for Trout and Salmon, feast on our fresh seafood.

Our camping grounds are very well appointed, most have kitchens, and recreation rooms as well as well appointed ablutions. Motor Camps also offer a wide variety of cabins, tourist flats and motel accommodation.

Enjoy your holiday, the sun and the surf, and come back and see us again
